Brenda Lee Hambelton Amyx, 59

Funeral services for Brenda Lee Hambelton Amyx, 59, of Gainesville, were held May17, 2018, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville. Mrs. Hambelton died May 12 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.
She was born June 5, 1958, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Loyd and Velma Forrest Hambelton. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1976. She worked for Aeroquip, which changed to Eaton, for over 35 years. She was strong and determined. She became a widow at a young age and had to raise her daughters alone. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart. She was proud of each one and was always happy to talk about them with her friends.
 She loved her animals! Gizmo, her fat cat, was her  buddy for 12 years. Foxy, her little dog, was her favorite companion for the last four and a half years.
 Mrs. Amyx had a love for life: fishing, camping and floating the river, all with friends and family. She enjoyed riding horses and helping with the Gainesville Saddle Club recently. She loved to cook and bake for friends and family, and she loved children, especially babies.
 She is survived by her two daughters, Sandi Naegele and husband Rob of Gainesville, and Jennifer Amyx of West Plains; five grandchildren, Shaina Naegele, Legend Strong and husband Tristan, Wyatt McKee, Tony Moore and Patience Naegele; Lydia Duke; one brother, Martie Hambelton; one sister, Janet Johnson and husband Larry, all of Gainesville; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and close friends Jan Snelling, Sid Pierce, Brent and Laurie Miller and Chrissy Carney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tony Amyx; and one brother, Dwayne Forrest.
Burial was in the Brushy Knob Cemetery.
