Doris Flo Tackett, 82

Funeral services for Doris Flo Tackett, 82, of West Plains will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home in West Plains. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Tackett died Dec. 31, 2017, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. 

She was born Sept. 23, 1935, at Crider, Missouri, the daughter of Grover Cleveland Fox and Artie Eve Fox.  On Feb. 19, 1955, in West Plains, she married James Freeman Tackett. 

Before her retirement, Mrs. Tackett worked at Wal-Mart.  She was a great cook and enjoyed canning, gardening, hunting and fishing. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Hollingshad and husband Hershel of West Plains; one grandson, Regan Tackett and fiancee’ Leanne Peterson of Huntsville, Alabama; two brothers, Glen Fox and wife RaeDene of Filer, Idaho, and Elvis Fox of Ozark; one sister, Dorothy Stubbs and husband Wayne of West Plains; two sisters-in-law, Freda Bean and Roberta Todd; several nieces and nephews; and Fox and Bean family relatives in the Bakersfield area.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband who died Aug. 5, 2015; one son, Reggie; three sisters, Katherine, Maxine and Ivene; and two brothers, Arthur and Amel.

Burial will be in the Ledbetter Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ledbetter Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at robertsondrago.com.
