Freddie Tackitt, 61

Funeral services for Freddie Tackitt, 61, of Caulfield, were held July 10, 2018, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville. Mr. Tackitt died July 7, 2018 at his home surrounded by his wife, children, family and friends. His death came after he was injured in a logging accident on March 12. He fought hard but was unable to recover. Before he went into a final, peaceful sleep, he was able to say his final good-bye to his children and tell his son Tye what to do so they could meet again.
He was born Nov. 5, 1956, in West Plains, the son of Billy and Patsy Tackitt.
Mr. Tackitt loved life, and he loved to talk; he never knew a stranger. He had a great imagination. Whether it was fixing things, building something or making up games to play. He will be missed greatly. His smile, laughter and memory will live on in many hearts.
He is survived by his wife Kathi, and son Tye Joe of the family home in Caulfield; daughter Melinda Martin and son Paul Tackitt, both of Caulfield; daughter-by-marriage Brandy Sasser of Flower Mound, Texas; son-by-marriage James Stanford of Altus, Arkansas; three granddaughters, Chasity, Destiny and Skyla; five grandsons, Cory, Bryan, Jesse, Jaron and Skyler; three sisters, Susie, Ruthie and Missie; two brothers, Bailey and Windell; his parents, Billy and Patsy Tackitt; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends scattered through many states.
Burial was in the Elijah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Three Rivers Hospice.
