Georgia Bishop, 73

A memorial graveside service for Georgia Bishop, 73, of Neosho will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at Pine Ridge Cemetery near Souder. Mrs. Bishop died July 27 at her home. 

She was born Nov. 18, 1944, in Theodosia, the daughter of George Edward and Carrie Anna Mae Shockey Friend. On Oct. 2, 1965, in Kansas City, she married Dannie Bishop.

Mrs. Bishop was a devoted, loving wife and mother. Her family was the pride and joy of her life. She was the sister who was always there and ready to help anytime. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Lucinda Bishop, and Theresa Jennings and husband Chuck, all of Neosho; five sisters, Lillie Jackson, Eva Scott, Margaret Wright, Kathie Curtis and Dorothy Crosby, all of Ava; and several nieces and nephews and extended family.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, Everett Friend and Jessie Friend.
