Marilyn G. Russell, 90

Marilyn Russell, 90, of Isabella, died Feb. 18, 2018,  at Gainesville Health Care Center in Gainesville. No local services are planned. 

She was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Cecil and Cora McNesh French.

On Oct. 12, 1978, in Maui, Hawaii, she married Harold “Tooney” Russell. She enjoyed golfing, playing Bingo, reading and watching musicals. She worked for AT&T for more than 35 years before retiring and eventually moving to Isabella, where she and her husband spent the rest of their years together. 

She is survived by five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, who died two days before their 34th wedding anniversary; and her three step-children, Don Russell, Ron Russell and John Russell.

Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital or to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
