Pete Fourcault, 65

 

A celebration of the life of Pete Fourcault, 65, of Pontiac, formerly of Pontoon Beach, Illinois, will be held from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the Venice Social Club, 4168 Illinois Highway 162 in Pontoon Beach. A local gathering of friends will be held at 1 p.m. the following Saturday, April 6, at the Pontiac / Price Place Volunteer Fire Department firehouse on W Highway next to the post office in Pontiac. Mr. Fourcault died March 20 at his home in Pontiac.

He was born Sept. 5, 1953, in El Paso, Texas, the son of Peter Leo and Ruby Deen Hamilton Fourcault. On April 14, 1973, he married Kathy Fletcher. He was a retired elevator constructor and a  former Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader. He was a member of Bubblemasters Dive Club. His hobbies included fishing, boating, camping, golfing and underwater hockey. He and his wife moved from Pontoon Beach to Pontiac in 2011.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his son Stephen and wife Jennifer, along with their children Seth and Blake; his daughter Marissa and husband Jason, and their children Cassie, Kylie and Riley; and one great-grandson, Aiden; two sisters, Connie Hager and family, and Stephanie Phelps and family; stepbrothers and sisters; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cindy.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pontiac/Price Place VFD, whose first responders worked so hard to help him.
