Registration dates set for Gainesville School

Registration at Gainesville Junior High and High School will be Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 5-6. Students may pick up their schedules,  pay fees and pick up insurance information and lunch applications at that time.
Students must provide up-to-date immunization records before they can attend school. This is a new requirement due to recent legislation. Students who are new to the district should bring a copy of their current immunizations and the name, address, telephone number and transcript from their previous school.
Book bags, duffle bags and backpacks will not be allowed. A book locker and a gym locker will be provided for a  fee of $2 each.
On Aug. 5, incoming seniors can register between 8 and 9 a.m. Juniors may register between 9 and 10 a.m., with sophomores registering between 10 and 11 a.m. and freshmen between 11 a.m. and noon.
On Aug. 6, eighth grade students may register between 8 and 9 a.m. and seventh graders my register between 9 and 10 a.m. New students may register from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. Siblings are encouraged to register together. For more information call the high school office at 679-4200.
