Gainesville High School senior Annie Noah signed a letter of intent on Friday, Dec. 8,  to play basketball on the College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcats basketball team. “We’ve had our eye on Annie for a couple of years,” said head coach Becky Vest. “She attended our summer basketball camp, and we watched her there. She had a good performance at camp, and we felt she was an excellent fit for College of the Ozarks. It takes the right kind of kid to thrive at C of O. She has the character and work ethic to be successful. We’re happy to have her.”

Annie, a 6’0” post player, averaged 17 points and nine rebounds per game during the three years of her high school career. She is a two-time first team all-conference, all-district selection and was named to the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association all-state team after the 2016-17 season.

In Annie’s first three years of high school, she helped the Gainesville Lady Bulldogs achieve three district and three conference championships and more than 80 wins, said Gainesville High School head coach Morris Jenkins. She has 875 career points, 641 career rebounds and 252 career assists.

“I’m very excited that I’m going to continue my education and basketball career at College of the Ozarks,” Annie said. “Thanks to everybody who has helped me reach my goal and offered support – especially my coaches, teachers and family.”

Sidelined since early September when she had knee surgery for a torn ACL, Annie said her recovery is right on track, and she’s very much looking forward to getting on the Lady Bobcats court to play the game she loves.

Annie is the daughter of Dan and Joyce Noah.
