Heide repeats as state champ

Sophomore Emily Heide’s repeat state championship performance led the Mountain Home (Arkansas) Lady Bombers to a runner-up finish at the Class 6A state tennis tournament at Burns Park in North Little Rock on Tuesday, Oct. 17. Heide completed a perfect season, going 30-0 and winning her second consecutive Arkansas state singles championship. She is the daughter of Misti and Brian Heide of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and the granddaughter of Bill and Sandy Looney and great-granddaughter of Marvin Looney, all of Pontiac.
