Winter shootout: Gainesville Bulldogs win first and second-grade division

The fifth annual Winter Shootout was held Saturday, Jan. 7, in West Plains. “It was a full day filled with great competition,” said Dora coach Rick Luna. “Twenty-three teams competed this year, coming from Springfield, Thayer, Dora, Alton, Bakersfield, Gainesville and West Plains.
The tournament was sponsored by Wood & Huston Bank, Dairy Queen, Domino’s Pizza and Ozark Awards.
The Gainesville Bulldogs won the Winter Shootout first and second-grade division sponsored by Dairy Queen. Team members are, from left, Haden Johns, Jackson Warden, Jace Headrick, Jarrett Uchtman, Brayden Frye, Owen Morris and Aiden Gaulding.
