Benefit golf events slated June 11, 14

Ozark County golfers have two upcoming opportunities to have fun and raise money for worthy causes in benefit golf events scheduled at Theodosia County Club.
First up is the fifth annual Joe Nash Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 11, beginning with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The event is a three-person scramble with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
The tax-deductible entry fee is $50 per person or $150 per team. For more information, contact Jeff Nash at 679-4907.
The second event is the John Zook Memorial tournament on Tuesday, June 14, which is Flag Day, one of the late John Zook's favorite days. The event is a two-person scramble with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Additional teams are needed. The fee is $35 per person, $70 per team. Cart rentals are available for $14.
All proceeds go to the Gainesville Lions Club for its sponsored activities, including the summer ball program.
