Dora has 10 track athletes qualify to advance to sectionals
The Dora Falcons track team, coached by Sheree Nold, had 10 athletes who qualified to advance to sectionals by placing in the top four at the Class 1 District 8 track and field meet held at Carthage High School Saturday, May 7. Those athletes will travel to College of the Ozarks on May 14 for the Class 1 sectional meet.
Those who qualified for sectionals are as follows:
First place: Autumn Nold, 400-meter dash
Second place: Cade Nold, 800-meter run
Third place: girls 4x800-meter relay team – Chloe Barton, Charli Howard, Kayden Jones, Emma Martin (record time set); girls 4x200-meter relay team – Chloe Barton, Cally DePriest, Shauna Lake and Chesney Luna (record time set); and Kendall Lovan, 3,200-meter run.
Several athletes set new personal records, including Chloe Barton in long jump, Cally DePriest in 100-meter hurdles, Charlie Howard in long jump, Spencer Howard in shot put and triple jump, Shauna Lake in triple jump, Michael Mills in the 1,600-meter run, Autumn Nold in the 400-meter dash, Cade Nold in the 800-meter dash, Joshua Nold in the 200-meter dash, and Skyler Roberts in long jump.
