Lutie off to a 2-2 start

The Lutie Indians are 2-2 after a recent win in the Koshkonong tournament. Lutie beat Koshkonong 67-43 in tournament action Thursday night.

The Indians' Steven Andrews had an explosive double-double, netting 30 points and grabbing 18 boards. The win put the Indians in the game for second place Saturday against the Gainesville JV squad. Gainesville edged out a win in overtime, 48-44.

Corey Christeson led Lutie with 14 points.

"Our boys are playing extremely hard and are continuing to learn a new system," said Lutie coach Brett Mitchell. "They are getting better every game that we play."

The Indians were scheduled to host Greenwood Tuesday night. Details from that game were unavailable at press time Tuesday.

The Lutie girls have had a run of bad luck the past week, dropping two games to Cabool and Spokane.

Spokane defeated Lutie 59-25 on Dec. 3. The Lady Indians lost to Cabool 52-20 on Nov. 29.
