Lutie boys drop two

The Lutie Indians dropped two games in the Cabool Holiday Tournament last week, losing to Norwood 78-47 and Eminence, 87-40.
Joe Terry led the Lutie effort against Norwood with 12 points, followed by Dylan Burks and Jake Christeson with 10 each. Gavin Jennings chipped in 7 points while Chancey Ayers and Cody Dodge each had 4.
In the game against Eminence, Lutie outscored Eminence in the fourth quarter, but couldn't overcome the early lead Eminence had.
Gavin Jennings led the Lutie scoring with 19, followed by Chancey Ayers with 9. Also scoring for Lutie were Joe Terry with 5, Jake Christeson with 4 and Dylan Burks with 3.
The Indians (1-9) were scheduled to play at Dora Tuesday night. Details from that game were unavailable by press time Tuesday. Lutie will host Niangua on Friday for a 5:30 p.m. game and will also be competing in the Gainesville Tournament on Jan. 11 where they will take on Seymour.
The Lutie girls' team, meanwhile, has had an extended break after their big win over New Covenant Academy on Dec. 20. They will be back in action Friday against Niangua and will host Forsyth on Jan. 11.
