As Ozark County schools started last week, these two photos, taken 50 years apart, drew dozens of encouraging comments when Gainesville resident Jennifer Douglas Dabney posted them on Facebook. At left, Dabney’s mother, Glenda Evans (Douglas), walks her little brother Layne Evans into school in fall 1968, when she was a senior and Layne was a kindergartener. Dabney took the second photo of her sons last week: Cooper High, a senior, walking his little brother Greyson Dabney, a preschool student, into school. Dabney and her husband, James, also have another son, Keaton, now a third-grader. Glenda Douglas and her husband, Allen, are the boys’ grandparents.
