Ozark Mountain Bass Club reports January tourney results

Alabama rigs and jigging spoons caught most of the fish during the monthly Ozark Mountain Bass Club tournament held Jan. 27 out of Pigeon Creek Ramp on Norfork Lake. Despite cold water temperatures, several fish were caught. 

Winners were Rodney Shockey and Marty Whisnant, first place with 18.35 pounds; Pete Pearson and Taylor Bradshaw, second place with 16.25 pounds; Brian Sherrill and Levi Oxley, third place with 12.95 pounds. Sherrill had the big bass with 4.85 pounds. 

The next tournament will be Feb. 10 out of the Buck Creek ramp on Bull Shoals Lake. Anyone interested in joining the club can attend the meetings that are held at 7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month at the Gainesville Lions Club building on Third Street.
