Authorities recover items stolen from church

Ozark County Sheriff's deputies say they recovered all the items stolen last week from Lilly Ridge General Baptist Church. Thieves struck the Lilly Ridge church and also the Elijah Church of Christ sometime between Feb. 22 and Feb. 26. At Lilly Ridge they stole sound equipment, including speakers, amps, mics, a mixer and a keyboard. Church officials said entry was made by breaking a window of the church. Ozark County Chief Deputy Darrin Reed said deputies recovered the Lilly Ridge items this morning from a remote location. No arrests have been made, but Reed said the department has some good leads and hope to apprehend the suspects soon. Anyone with information about the incident can contact the sheriff's department at 679-4633.

A laptop computer was taken from the Elijah church, where a considerable amount of vandalism was done. The laptop has not yet been recovered.
