Bakersfield Lions beat Alton, fall to Greenville

The Bakersfield Lions traveled to Alton Tuesday, Nov. 21 and defeated the Comets 72-57.

Saturday, the Bakersfield boys traveled to Van Buren where they competed in the Current River Challenge by playing the Greenville Bears. The Lions suffered their first loss of the season, falling 86-66, bringing their record to 2-1.  Ethan Cotter led the Lions’ scoring with 23 points, followed by Mason Bean with 17.

The Bakersfield team will next see action on Tuesday, Dec. 5 when they take on the Mansfield Lions and then Cabool on Thursday, Dec. 7 in the 87th Annual Mansfield Invitational Boys Basketball Tournament.

The Lions next home game is Monday, Dec. 12 when they host the Gainesville Bulldogs.
