Burglars grab silver, guns from Isabella area store

Tooney’s Emporium, an Isabella pawn shop, was burglarized sometime over the weekend. Owner Harold “Tooney” Russell said several $10 gaming tokens from different Las Vegas casinos were taken. “They’re 99 percent silver, about the size of a silver dollar,” he said, “with a brass-colored edge on them.”

Several pistols were also taken.

“They were professionals who’d been in here and knew what they were looking for,” Russell said. “They wore gloves and busted the door down and busted my display case all up, took what they wanted and didn’t bother anything else. Just in and out.”

Anyone with information about the burglary or the stolen items should contact the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office, 417-679-4633.
