GHCC News: April 18, 2018

To kick off the week, last Monday we did some beading and made some bracelets. We then went out to the park area. After lunch we started a new project. We did some wood burning. We are working on a sign.
Tuesday, we watched movies, and in the afternoon our volunteers joined us for Bible study.
Wednesday morning, we played dominoes in the fireplace room and had watercolors down 200 hall. We also had John Wayne Wednesday where we watched westerns in the TV room. After lunch, we gathered in the dining room for a baby shower for Kendra, one of our employees. We enjoyed chocolate cake served with sweet, yummy punch. We watched Kendra open her baby gifts and enjoyed passing her baby around.
Thursday was another nice day, so a group of us went outside to enjoy the fresh air. When we came back in, I did manicures for the ladies who wanted their nails done. Later on we had artists workshop where the residents chose to paint pictures.
On Friday, we were joined by the Gainesville Head Start class. We went to the dining room and watched the kids play games and color pictures. The residents enjoy watching the kids have a good time here. To wrap up the day, we played a nice, friendly game of bingo.
