County budget nears $4 million mark

Ozark County commissioners signed off on the 2011 budget this past week, and for at least the second year in a row, the total projected revenues are considerably less than projected expenditures.

The 2011 budget shows total projected revenues at $3,771,269, while projected expenditures are at $3,919,696. That's a shortfall of $148,427. In 2010, the projected revenue was $3,805,434 while the budgeted expenditures totaled $4,370,887, according to County Clerk Lisa Hawkins.
