Charges filed for punches thrown inside gas station

An Isabella woman is facing a felony assault charge after allegedly punching another woman during an altercation at a Theodosia gas station earlier this year, according to court records.

Courtney Teague, 41, of Isabella, is charged with third-degree felony assault. A warrant with a $1,500 cash only bond has been issued for her arrest in the case. 

According to the probable cause statement, prepared by Ozark County Sheriff’s Deputy Hunter Ryan, on Jan. 12, 2026, he and Deputy Jeff Lane were dispatched to a verbal disturbance between two women at the Phillips 66 gas station in Theodosia. 

A short time later, one of the women called into the sheriff’s dispatch line and said she was assaulted by the other woman at the gas station, and she was waiting to speak with deputies at her residence in Isabella. 

The woman told officers that she was standing in the gas station, waiting to pay, and Teague asked her to come outside to talk. The woman said she told Teague no, and that’s when Teague came up and punched her in the face. She said she then tried to leave the store, but Teague followed her outside and was yelling at her until she left the property. 

Deputy Ryan’s report says that the woman had a large bloodshot area in the corner of her eye during the interview. The woman said wanted to press charges. 

The officers spoke with two store employees and another witness, all who told similar stories as to what happened. The workers said the incident was caught on security camera.
