Man charged with burglary, kidnapping, domestic assault, endangering child

Aaron Bradley Perry, 29, of Isabella, is being held without bond in the Ozark County Jail in connection with a case in which he’s charged with burglary, child kidnapping, two counts of kidnapping, endangering the welfare of a child, tampering with a victim and two counts of domestic assault.

According to the probable cause statement, prepared by Ozark County Sheriff Cass Martin, at 11:25 a.m. May 4, the sheriff was dispatched to a home off County Road 818C in Isabella after a 911 call was made but the party hung up upon a dispatcher answering.

On the way to the residence, the sheriff and Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper John Roberts came upon a black four-door vehicle traveling northbound on the county roadway. The sheriff wrote in his report that he recognized the vehicle from a domestic assault call that he had worked earlier in the week involving a woman and Perry.

The sheriff exited his patrol vehicle and approached the black vehicle, where the woman from the domestic dispute was driving and Perry was riding as passenger.

In conversations with the officers, the woman reportedly told them that Perry had snuck into her residence at a local apartment complex through a back window and physically restrained her, putting his hand over her mouth. The woman said Perry loaded the car seat in his car along with other items to go to his residence in Isabella, picked up the woman’s youngest daughter and took her out to his vehicle. The woman got into the car with Perry and went to his residence. She said at the residence she was assaulted including being dragged by the neck with a lanyard and hit in the mouth with keys, causing her to bleed.

The sheriff went to the apartment and photographed the back window, which reportedly had the blinds damaged and the screen partially bend and not sitting correctly within the window.

A second case has now been filed against Perry for tampering with a victim. See next week’s edition for more details. If convicted, Perry faces up to 30 years in prison for the child kidnapping charge alone.
