12/11/24: Dora Falcons beat Hurley

The Dora Falcons varsity team picked up a big 71-49 win against Hurley Friday, Dec. 6.

Coach Stetson Nold said a focus on teamwork was a big factor in the win.

“We had great energy and defense,” he added in a Facebook post announcing the win. “It was a team effort.” 

Leading Falcons scorers were Brady Thompson with 20 points, Carson Howard 18 points, Liam Gray 11 points, and Taber Walker 11 points. Braydon Helton added 6, Skyler Roberts 3, and Westin Ledbetter 2. Varsity improves to 2-3 on the season. 

JV played a half game and picked up a win improving to 2-1 on the season. Players scoring were Blake Uhlmann 15 points, Braydon Helton 8, Payton York 3, Westin Ledbetter 2, Hayden Mitchell 2, Brayden Decker 2. Final score 32-1. 

Falcons were in action on the road Tuesday against the Winona Wildcats. Results of that game were unavailable at presstime. They will travel to Plato (2-4) on Friday, Dec. 13.  Game time is at 6 p.m. The Falcons host Fordland (3-2) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
