Dora Falcons fall in first two rounds, defeat Bradleyville in Seymour Winter Classic

The Dora Falcons, under the direction of Head Coach Chris Marcak, fell to Aurora 71-42 in the first round of the Seymour Bank Winter Classic tournament Jan. 8. 

Wilson Masters led the Falcons’ scoring efforts with 16 points, followed by Carson Howard with 9 and Ashton Roberts with 7. Nathan Woodruff chipped in 4, followed by Ryan Davis, Brayden York and Brady Thompson with 2 each.

Dora returned to Seymour Wednesday, Jan. 10 where they battled hard but came up just shy of a win, falling to Lighthouse Christian Academy, 63-56.

The Falcons were led by Ashton Roberts with 22 points and Wilson Masters with 13. Masters had a double-double for the game, pulling down 13 rebounds for Dora.

Following the loss, the Falcons faced Bradleyville in the game for seventh place and won, defeating the Eagles 80-31. Three Falcons were in double digits – Ashton Roberts with 18, Wilson Masters 17 and Brady Thompson 16. Others scoring for Dora include Ryan Davis 7, Easton Carter and Brayden York with 5 each, and Nathan Woodruff with 4. 

 The team is scheduled to play the Lutie Indians boys basketball team, coached by Heath Treat, on Tuesday. Details of that game were not available at presstime.
