Dora Lady Falcons take fifth place at Big Springs

The Dora Lady Falcons took fifth place at the Big Springs Conference Tournament held in Summersville last week.  

The Lady Falcons took on Van Buren in the first round and lost a heartbreaker by just three points, falling  62-59. They returned on Thursday, Jan. 30 to battle with Bakersfield but lost that contest 59-37.

On Saturday, the Dora girls came back for the battle for fifth place and scored a big win over Koshkonong, defeating the Lady Blue Jays 73-41.

Kinley Luna had a smoking hot game, scoring 31 points for the Lady Falcons. Others in the double digits were Montgomery Mitchell with 16 points and Isabelle Martin with 12 points. Brailyn Hambelton added 6, followed by Karley Bettis with 4 and Ellie Ullom with 2.

Dora will host Hartville Thursday, Feb. 6 and Seymour on Monday, Feb. 10.
