The Dora Lady Falcons were set to take on Greenwood. Details of the game weren’t available at presstime but will be included in next week’s edition. Other schools in the district bracket include Chadwick, Bradleyville and Plato.

In pre-district play, the Lady Falcons snagged a win against Seymour Oct. 6 in an away game, winning three matches. The Lady Falcons varsity team lost 2-3 to Couch in an another away game Oct. 9.

In their last regular season match of the year, the Lady Falcons fell to the Mansfield Pirates, but players were still all smiles.

“They are learning to put the pieces together night-by-night and play for each other,” a post on the team’s Facebook page about the event said.

After the Mansfield game, the Lady Falcons held their own senior night, honoring the team’s two senior players, Natasha Slavik, who plays the position of middle blocker, and Hannah Bunch, who plays outside hitter and opposite hitter.

The team ended the regular season with a season record of 5 wins, 17 losses and 1 tie.
