Dora runners nominated for 2025 Sports Hall of Fame


There were 16 members of the Dora cross country and track teams honored by the Springfield Sports Commission at the Gilloz Theatre on June 17 as nominees for the 2025 Sports Hall of Fame. On June 17, at the Gillioz Theatre in Springfield, the Springfield Sports Commission honored the Dora track and cross country teams as local nominees for the 2025 Sports Hall of Fame. The nominees included: 

• The 2025 Dora girls varsity cross country team, nominated in the girls team sports category; 

• The 2025 Dora boys varsity track team, nominated in the boys team sports category;

• Dora 2025 senior Cade Nold in the boys track category.

“This is a monumental moment in Dora School history, with 16 of our students nominated at once for this prestigious honor,” a spokesperson for Dora School posted to the district’s Facebook page. 

Head Coach Sheree Nold said she was grateful for the student athletes, who have put their minds to achieving greatness. “Thank you for everything you have invested over the years. We were a team in a true sense,” she said.
