Dora track and field athletes having successful season
Dora track and field team members had a successful meet at the Zizzer Relays on Thursday, April 17. Coach Sheree Nold said several team members set new personal records and Kylie Shipley set a new school record in the discus throw.
The team continues to progress, Coach Nold said. The Falcons started last week with a freshman / sophomore meet in Republic and finished out the week with some varsity team members traveling to Parkview High School to compete in the Girls Night Out and Hillcrest Invitational meets. Several new personal records were set, and Carson Howard set a new school record in the javelin thrown and Daniel Thomlinson set new school records in the 1600m and 3200m runs.

Kayden Jones - 800m, 1600m
Isabella Martin - 3200 Season PR
Kinley Luna - Long Jump
Montgomery Mitchell - Long Jump
Kylie Shipley - Discus
Those setting new personal records at the Hillcrest Invitational meet were:
Carson Howard - Javelin - new school record
Joshua Nold - 400m
Daniel Tomlinson - 1600m, 3200m - new school record
Josiah Ward - 800m
Cade Nold, Joshua Nold, Daniel Tomlinson, Brayden Decker - 4X400 Relay - season PR.
Dora track and field next competes at Mountain Grove on April 26 and at Fair Grove on May 1. Meets begin at 5 p.m.
