White River Conference XC champs Dora Falcons earn medals at Fordland
After running away with the White River Conference championships, Dora cross country runners went on to compete in the Oct. 17 Fordland Iron Mountain Run, where they brought home a first-place team medal and several medals for individual runners.
The Lady Falcons varsity girls brought home first place in the team division, beating out Gloria Deo and Conway High Schools.
Individually, the varsity girls team took home four medals: freshman standout Isabelle Martin took second place with a time of 21:51, Emma Martin was close behind in third place with 22:19, followed by Kara Anderson in 14th place with a time of 25:19 and Chloe Barton in 16th place with a time of 25:29.
The Falcons boys varsity team took second place. Individually, three runners came home with medals: Cade Nold took first place with a time of 17:29; Joshua Nold took fifth place with a time of 18:29; and Daniel Tomlinson took 20th place with a clean 20 minute run.
Other Dora runners who competed included Lathan Smith (20:38), Carson Howard (22:02), Josiah Ward (22:05), Treyton Rogers (22:08), Jeffrey Mills (22:35) and Taber Walker (23:52).
“It’s been such a fun year seeing these students develop,” said Dora cross country coach Sheree Nold. “We’re looking forward to our district meet this weekend which will be held on Saturday in Cape Girardeau at the Notre Dame Regional High School.”
