Filing opens Dec. 13 for April election

Ozark County Clerk Lisa Hawkins reminds prospective candidates wishing to run for school, municipal, ambulance and health department board positions in the April 3, 2012, general municipal elections that they may file beginning Dec. 13. The filing window continues until 5 p.m. Jan 17.
School and municipal board candidates must file with the secretary of their boards.
Three positions will be up for election on the health center board this year.
The Ozark County Ambulance Board has two positions to be voted on, Districts 3 and 6. These candidates must reside in the district for which they file. District 3 includes Jackson, PIne Creek and Richland townships. District 6 includes Big Creek and Jasper townships.
Ozark County Health Department and Ambulance boards must file in the county clerk's office in the Ozark County Courthouse.
