Bulldogs fall to Mountain Grove

The Gainesville Bulldogs traveled to Mountain Grove to take on the Panthers on Tuesday, April 1. It was a rough game for the Bulldogs who lost the contest 6-2. “We didn’t play very well,” said GHS Coach Blake Hobbs. “No other way to put it. We have some things to clean up and fix after a week without playing. Hopefully, we will come back with those issues fixed.”

Grant Leeker was 2-4 with an RBI. Avery Rodrigue was 1-2 with a run scores and an RBI.

The Bulldogs hosted the Bakersfield Lions Tuesday. Results of that game were unavailable at presstime.

The Gainesville team will round out their week at the 27th Annual Hartville Baseball Tournament Thursday, April 10, and Friday, April 11. Gainesville will take on Climax Springs at 3 p.m. Thursday and Norwood at 5.

Teams competing in the tournament are Hartville, Crocker, Willow Springs, Gainesville, Norwood nd Climax Springs.
