Gainesville boys pull wins over Seymour, Norwood

The Gainesville Bulldogs won their Jan. 30 game against Seymour by a good margin, ending the game with a score of 71-53. 

The scoring effort was led by Andrew Hambelton, who put 22 points up on the board, followed by Nathan Kiger with 16. Other scorers were: Jace Headrick with 10, Harmon Johns and Easton McGee with 9 each, Owen Donley with 3 and Hunter Luna with 2. Harmon Johns brought in 9 rebounds, while Andrew Hambelton brought down 7. Nathan Kiger led in assists with 6.  

The Bulldogs snatched another win on Friday, Feb. 2, this time on their home turf, in a battle against the Norwood Pirates. The Gainesville boys pulled out 10-point lead by game-end with the final scoreboard reading 76-66. 

Easton McGee and Andrew Hambelton tied for lead-scorers, both putting up an impressive 20 points each. Nathan Kiger had another 11, while Grant Leeker added 9 and Harmon Johns made 8 and Owen Donley chipped in 3. Andrew Hambelton also led in rebounds with 6, and Harmon Johns led in assists with 8. 

The Bulldogs continue play this week, facing off against Fordland Tuesday, Mansfield Friday and Willow Springs Saturday.
