Scholar Bowl matches consist of teams of four players each from two schools being asked questions in the areas of history, science, mathematics, literature, music and pop culture. There are “toss up questions” which are answered by an individual player when they buzz in, much like in Jeopardy. When a player correctly answers the toss up questions, their team is given three bonus questions which they may discuss to decide upon an answer. Each match is two rounds with 11 questions asked in each round.
