Lady Bulldogs lose 1, win 1

The Gainesville Lady Bulldogs basketball team traveled to Fordland (15-6) Thursday, Feb. 1 and suffered a 25-52 loss against a tough Eagles team. Players scoring for Gainesville were Andrea Winrod 8, Laney Suter 6, Jillian Morse 5, Addie Alms 4 and Sarah Hossman 2.

They then faced off against the Mountain Home Christian Academy Saturday, Feb. 3 and brought home a 59-40 win, bringing their season record to 13-8.

GHS freshman Addie Alms had an outstanding game, scoring 20 points for the Lady Bulldogs. Others scoring for the team were Andrea Winrod 8, Laney Suter 7, Sarah Hossman 6, and Lauren Smith and Jillian Morse with 4 each. Sarah Hossman led in rebounds with 9 and steals with 6. Andrea Winrod pulled down 8 rebounds. Winrod led the assist column with 5. 

Gainesville is hosting Seymour at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8 and will honor senior basketball players Lakyn Suter, Jillian Morse and Sarah Hossman before the game.

The Lady Bulldogs travel to Ava to take on the Lady Bears Friday, Feb. 9 and will host the Norwood Lady Pirates Monday, Feb. 12.
