GHS grad working on series
Gainesville High School graduate Zac Eubank is working on an independent dark-comedy series, "Funny Days," and he's looking for donations to help fund the project.
The series aims to be "rich in creativity and originality while addressing some of the fundamental flaws with our society today, such as U.S. immigration law and racism," according to information on a website about the project. "We hope to enlighten viewers to these issues without beating them over the head, because this project is ultimately about telling the story."
The narrative is about a clown, Bee, who after the loss of her parents (who were mercilessly shot and murdered while crossing the border by the Clown Immigration Patrol) is left alone to struggle in Los Angeles. On her journey to achieve citizenship, Bee encounters many fellow clowns, as well as dangerous foes.
Eubank and others began shooting the pilot episode Nov. 19. "Currently, our team is working purely voluntarily, so every single penny donated will help us keep this project alive by funding filming, promotion and compensation," Eubank said on his website www.funnydaysseries.com.

Zac is the son of Norman and Karen Eubank of Pontiac.
