Health Dept. now on Facebook

The Ozark County Health Department is now on Facebook. The department is using the social network site to post public health events and information that pertains to Ozark County. The site will not be monitored throughout the day so residents should continue to call the office, 679-3334, for questions or appointments.
Susan Shipley, health department coordinator of the annual four-week team walking Walk-A-Bout competition, is especially looking forward to using the site to allow teams to post photos and comments about their weekly physical activity.
"We will be posting the top three Walk-A-Bout youth and community teams, along with reports of outstanding participants each week on our Facebook page," said Shipley. "You are invited to post encouraging comments or share photos showing how you choose to be physically active."
For a complete list of team standings each week, check the department's website, OCPH.org, or the Ozark County Times.
