I love reading the Times
I just finished reading last week’s Ozark County Times and really enjoyed a long article about Phyllis Hollingsworth. When we lived in Gainesville in 1966-67, I knew her as Phyllis Evans, the beautiful wife of Burl Evans. It brought me back to the club I belonged to during the short time we lived there. It was called “Young Homemakers Club,” which we were at the time. It was lots of fun, and we were friends with J. R. Evans and his family too. His wife Janet babysat one of my daughters a few times.
I see Nancy Walker’s name and picture in the Times, and remember some good times with her when her boys and my girls were very young.
I liked living in Gainesville very much, but we moved to Willow Springs in 1968 when my husband was transferred to MSHP’s Troop G headquarters. I have lots of ancestors from Ozark County, and both of my parents were born there. So I love reading about Ozark County people and recognize the names of some family at times.
