Lower tax rates would help Ozark County
Modest grants for the county recycling center are okay, but that will not reduce our tax problems in Ozark County. Larger federal grants that could increase employment and spread county government expenses among more tax payers are needed.
Ozark Countians are taxed to the limit per Missouri law (reference last years’ attempted law enforcement tax increase escapade). True conservatives know that lower taxes help our economy and combat inflation. This semi-disabled older couple endured a 20 percent property tax increase last year. Our tax-partial county commissioners could freeze property taxes for seniors and disabled citizens per Missouri tax law change in 2023 (Senate Bill 190). The county commissioners could also lobby certain Jefferson City officials to stop holding state grants hostage for more internet taxes (where will it end?).
High tax rates are one of the biggest differences between liberals and conservatives, plus liberals pamper and parole criminals.
Please vote for lower taxes 2 April and 5 November in every possible way.
