Thank you, Krista
We were going to be having a funeral for an 18-year-old boy at Zion Freewill Baptist Church. I contacted the Clarkridge Volunteer Fire Department and asked if they could provide traffic control for the funeral procession, and I was told they that they absolutely could not. I spoke directly with the fire chief of the Clarkridge VFD, who said it would be a liability, and they would not be able to help us at all with the funeral.
I then called Krista Crisp, a dispatcher at the sheriff's department, and in no time she had everything worked out for us! She had highway patrol, law enforcement and fire departments at every blind turn and intersection. Everyone in the funeral procession felt so safe. Krista was so friendly, calm and helpful. She just took care of everything for us. I just can’t thank her and everyone who helped out enough.
We met several vehicles along the way, and there aren’t very many few shoulders. Almost everyone stopped right in the road or pulled over and had their flashers on to pay their respects. It made me very thankful to live in this community.
