Zanoni news: June 27, 2018
We have been seeing some terrapins on the road. Always thought this was a sign it was going to rain. We did get 1 4/10 inch on Sunday.
Paul got his hay all hauled from the Max Murphy place in Almartha with the help of Wally.
The guys worked cattle Friday. It was a good time for it because the weather had cooled down.
The boats are still going by every day. We hope they’re catching lots of fish.
It’s time for the combines to be in the fields cutting fescue seed. Travis McConnaughy has his going.
We still have deer across the road. I saw two old ones, and with my field glasses I could see a little one jumping around.
At the back of the house on the downspout we have a nest of little birds of some kind. They keep their mama busy feeding them.
We went to MFA in West Plains Friday evening to get tubs for the cattle. We ate supper at the Ozark Cafe, where they have fish on Friday night. The place was full of people as the food there is very good.
Sunday after church we went to Springfield to see Casey and Chris. We did a little shopping and ate supper at Cheddar’s.
Please note: The July food pantry will be held on Thursday, July 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Wednesday, July 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a change in the schedule for the first week because of the July 4 holiday.
Everyone have a good week and stay away from the ticks and chiggers!
