Cattlemen’s group to host Fall Cattle Drive event

The South Central Cattlemen’s Fall Cattle Drive event will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, at the West Plains Civic Center in West Plains. The all-day event will include morning presentations by Natural Resource Conservation Service health specialist Drexel Atkisson and MU Extension beef nutrition specialist Eric Bailey.

After a catered lunch, the keynote speaker will be Dr. Derrell Peel, professor of agbusiness in ag economics.  

Sponsors of the cattle drive are West Plains Bank and Trust, USDA-NRCS and MU Extension. The cost is $20 at the door or $15 for those who preregister at MFA in West Plains and Willow Springs, the MU Extension office or USDA office in West Plains, Hirsch’s, Young’s in Alton and Richard Brothers in West Plains.
