A Noble-area teenager was killed and a Gainesville teen was injured in a one-vehicle crash Thursday evening on T Highway about 1.4 miles from J Highway, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash was the third serious wreck in less than a week in Ozark County.

Joshua H. Lane, 18, of Noble was killed in the 5 p.m. crash when a 2002 Chevrolet pickup, heading east on T Highway, left the roadway and overturned. Another occupant of the pickup, Lukas C. Lok, 18, of Gainesville suffered moderate injuries in the crash.

Both young men were taken by ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark. Lane was airlifted to Mercy Hospital where he later died. Lok was listed in moderate condition at BRMC Friday morning, according to a highway patrol report. Both were ejected from the vehicle and neither were wearing seat belts, the MSHP says.

The MSHP says the driver of the vehicle is unknown. The truck was totaled in the 5 p.m. crash.

The crash is the third serious crash in less than a week. On Sunday a Theodosia man died in a head-on crash near his hometown. On Tuesday, three people were seriously injured in a head-on crash near Theodosia.
