Lutie coach Buck Comstock told his team during an early timeout that it’s “homecoming night ... I don’t want this game to be close.”

At the time, his team was up 18-6, and their swarming defense was frustrating the young Koshkonong team.

By the end of the first quarter, Lutie had pushed their lead up to 21-8 and didn’t let up. By halftime the Indians were on their way to a blowout, leading the Blue Jays 41-10 and went on to beat Kosh, 63-26.

Lutie had four players scoring in double-digits, with Mason Jennings leading the way with 19 points. Other top scorers were Andrew Ault with 13, Cadan Billingsly with 11 and Zach Collins with 10.

The JV squad also won, 19-16.

It was a nice win for the Indians on homecoming night, as they were coming off losses to Bunker and Dora.

In the Dora matchup on Feb. 8, Lutie lost 61-51.

Andrew Ault led Lutie in that game with 14 points, followed by Zach Collins with 13 and Tyler Garrison with 12.

Lutie was scheduled to travel to Norwood on Thursday (Feb. 17).
