Lutie faces Exeter in 2nd round

The Lutie Indians went 1-1 in high school basketball action last week, and were scheduled to play Exeter in the second round of the Class 1 District 4 tournament Tuesday night at Chadwick. The Indians, which were ranked second in the district tourney, were scheduled to play as the Times went to press Tuesday night. Look for an update in next week’s edition.

In the past week, the Indians got a big win over School of the Ozarks, 64-36.

Cadan Billingsly led all scorers with 27 points, while Lutie’s Zack Collins and Tyler Garrison each scored 10 in the victory.

The Indians lost to #1 state-ranked Norwood on Feb. 18, 71-41.

Zack Collins led Lutie in scoring in the loss with 14 points. Andrew Ault and Tyler Garrison also scored for Lutie, with 9 points each.
