Joseph Vaughan, Austin Lamb and Stanton Cory Lamb won the three open seats in the Bakersfield School District's school board election during the April 8 General Municipal Election.
Vaughan and Austin Lamb won the two open 3-year term seats on the board. The unofficial results from the Ozark County Clerk's office showed the following votes cast:
• Kyle Clayton (incumbent), 54 votes, 20.22%
• Darren Johnston (incumbent), 62 votes, 23.22%
• Austin Lamb, 65 votes, 24.34%
• Kevin Goodwin, 13 votes, 4.87%
• Joseph Vaughn, 73 votes, 27.34%
Stanton Cory Lamb won the single one-year term seat, which was a vacancy for the remainder of Mike Scott’s term. Unofficial results show these votes cast:
• Stanton Cory Lamb, 84 votes, 59.15%
•Andrea Russell, 58 votes, 40.85%
When the candidates filed to run, they had to choose whether they wanted to run for the 3-year term seats or the 1-year term seat, and the races are separate, meaning they could only be elected into a seat in the category they chose to file for.
