Hambelton, Nash and Lane elected to Gainesville School Board

Sally Hambelton, Dakota Nash and Jeffrey Lane won the three open seats in the Gainesville School District's school board election during the April 8 General Municipal Election.
Hambelton and Nash won the two open 3-year term seats on the board. The unofficial results from the Ozark County Clerk's office showed the following votes cast:
• Sally Hambelton, 279 votes, 34.66%
• Dakota Nash (incumbent), 291 votes, 36.15%
• Wes Uchtman, 235 votes, 29.19%
Lane won the single one-year term seat. Unofficial results show these votes cast:
• Heather Bushner (incumbent), 171 votes, 36.62%
• Jeffrey Lane, 204 votes, 43.68%
• Nick Jones, 92 votes, 19.70%
When the candidates filed to run, they had to choose whether they wanted to run for the 3-year term seats or the 1-year term seat, and the races are separate, meaning they could only be elected into a seat in the category they chose to file for.
