Wilson attends FFA leadership camp
Westin Wilson from the Gainesville High School FFA chapter attended the state FFA HYMAX freshmen leadership camp June 15-17. The camp, sponsored by the Missouri FFA Association, was held at Camp Rising Sun at the Lake of the Ozarks State Park. Only 100 high school freshmen students were chosen to attend the camp, where they’re trained by past state FFA officers as well as industry leaders from Farm Bureau, the Missouri Department of Agriculture and agriculture educators. Students learn how to overcome obstacles, develop communication and personal skills, how to engage people in agriculture discussions and how to become advocates for production agriculture. Westin is the son of Jon and April Wilson.
