The annual fall festival at Bakersfield, Bakersfest, is slated for Saturday, with activities getting started in the morning and continuing throughout the day.

Organizers are hoping for good weather. At presstime the forecast for Saturday looks like little to no chance of rain and temperatures in the upper 70s to around 80 in the afternoon.

That’s good news for festival-goers who will have opportunities to hear some great music and check out an awesome car show. There will also be food, vendors, games and much more. The event will begin around 9 a.m. Saturday morning with all of the activities in and around Pride Park pavilion.

Music will be provided by Anthony Garner at 11 a.m., and Bobby Fair and The Groove Vault at 1 p.m.

The event, which is in its 24th year at Bakersfield, usually draws hundreds of visitors, and the car show is typically one of the best in the region.
