Berry wins assessor seat in Primary Election

Jama Berry

Ozark County incumbent Assessor Jama Berry secured 1,425 votes in the Aug. 6 Primary Election, meaning 76.41% of the ballots were cast in her favor, according to Ozark County's unofficial election results. Her challenger Kim Wilson received 440 votes.

Both candidates ran on the Republican ballot. There was no democrat challenger, meaning Berry will run unopposed in the Nov. 5 General Election unless an independent or write-in candidate file in the meantime.

There were a total of 1,865 votes cast in the race.

A more detailed article about Ozark County election results with a precint-by-precinct breakdown will be included in the Aug. 14 edition of the Times
